Alien VS Predator: This film is a lame effort to allure fans of the Alien and Predator films, with the scenario engaging an archeological journey to the ends of the world, a weird underground planet, and the presence of the catastrophic Alien and Predator beasts. Strange Behavior: This shocker in regards to a grisly murder in a tiny Midwestern town (shot in New Zealand!) received inexplicably excellent reviews in numerous places. You wonder what all the excitement was in reference to. Cast includes Michael Murphy, Louise Fletcher, Dan Shore, Fiona Lewis, Arthur Dignam, Scott Brady, and Charles Aisle. (98 minutes, 1981)

Trading Hearts: Trading Hearts is a meager baseball romance in which precocious 11-year old Lewis tries to exploit her mom (D’ Angelo), a show-biz failure, into matrimony with an over the hill ballplayer (Julia). Cast includes Raul Julia, Beverly D’ Angelo, Jenny Lewis, and Parris Buckner. (88 minutes, 1988)

Akira Kurosawa’s Dreams: 8 progressively apocalyptic vignettes “dreamt” by an 80-year-old man widely considered as the best living film maker of the times. Cast includes Akira Kurosawa. Akira Terao, Mitsuko Baisho, Mieko Harada, Chishu Ryu, Milsunori Isaki, Toshihiko Nakano, Y oshitaka Zushi, and Toshie Negishi. (120 minutes, 1990)

Mr. Ricco: Martin in an eccentric role as a lawbreaking lawyer engaged with racist killings, sex and various brutalities, although he looks too exhausted to care. The film has an excellent puzzling angle to the plot. Cast includes Dean Martin, Eugene Rocbe, Thalmus Rasulala, Geraldine Brooks, Denise Nicholas, Cindy Williams, and Philip Michael Thomas. Lillian Russell: This is a strained bio of the early 2Oth-century megastar. Lavish surroundings and weak plot line decrease Faye’s work. Arnold replicates his Diamond Jim Brady role with zest. Cast includes Alice Faye, Don Ameche, Henry Fonda, Edward Arnold, Warren William, Leo Carrillo, and Nigel Bruce. (127 minutes, 1940)

Alice Sweet Alice: For profit spacecraft unwittingly takes on an extraterrestrial being that wreaks ruthless chaos on the team. This space age terror film reverts to the 1950’s style, although unfolds at a determinate pace, populates the tale with fascinating, vibrant characters, and plants its good scenes very nicely. Cast includes Tom Skerritt, Sigourney Weaver, John Hurt, Ian Holm, Harry Dean Stanton, Yaphet Kotto, and Veronica Cartwright. (117 minutes, 1979)
