Touring Romania And The Capital

Bucharest is the largest city in Romania and also its capital. Therefore entertainment in Bucharest is easy to find. It is a young capital, comparatively, being only about five hundred years old as a city. This means that its planning and design was of a more educated and proven-to-work design. It also means that it enjoys a slightly more modern flavor of entertainment. It has been called “The Little Paris of the East” and, ironically enough, has its own Arc De Triomphe.

The city is a busy one, so if your are looking for a more sedate form of entertainment, this may not be the city for you. The economy is very good here and it is a fashionable environment. It therefore attracts a lot of attention and visitors due to the fast-paced life.

The area is surrounded by water, be it from lakes, rivers, or a tributary to the Danube. This makes it a great place for sailing, yachting, swimming, and various other activities. The Cismigiu Gardens are a place of great beauty and thought. Many poets and artists have gotten their best ideas there, so if you are looking for inspiration, this is the place to go.

They will have you back in time to start your night life there. You can also go on many ‘Dracula’ tours for the literature lovers.

As with any city, you have plenty of theater events to attend. Bucharest offers a surprisingly large choice of theaters. The night life in Bucharest is great and there are enough restaurants and clubs to fulfill everyone’s preferences. However, many of these clubs are decades behind western countries in terms of music.

The festivals, however, are another story. Bucharest keeps getting more and more diverse with its events.
