Ebay Sales Advice

If you’ve ever attempted to sell your work on the incredibly competitive and crowded pages of Ebay, your quick answer to the above question may be no. But don’t be so fast to say anything. If you keep these few things in mind , you may have a successful jewelry business on Ebay. Up until just recently, I sold my jewelry designs completely on Ebay. And, as with any business, with an Ebay business, you must have a business plan. The chances are against you on Ebay if you just make a few pieces, list them, and hope for the best. Your possibilities are better if you spend sufficient time to develop a significant stock of several types of items that show your individual style. After all you may only have one chance with an Ebay buyer… If they visit your auctions, and you have just a few unrelated items up on sale, they may never come back. However on the other hand, if they see a pleasant stockpile of things that they might like to buy, they’ll bookmark your store.

Store Items : Have a well thought out stock of items in your Ebay store. ( this stuff will always be there at a fixed price . ) all that you need to do is make a sample, upload a photo, and remake the pieces as the orders come in. ( Earrings are great store items. ) Ebay has a low store-listing price of $.05 per listing, and a monthly $15 store fee. Remember, you’ll have to sell enough to cover this Storefront expense above and outside the per piece profit, however.

Essentially, eBay permits people wishing to dispense with items or sell products to harvest the best possible benefit by offering the complete nation ( and even lots in global locations ) to bid on the item for sale, just as they’d at a physical auction. At the same time, buyers can review an item and decide themselves how much they are prepared to pay to purchase the item. A buyer will set their own price ( which must at least meet the minimum request set by the seller ), and the highest bidder wins the item.

Another important thing I learned is that you have to have one Featured Listing at any given time. You pay a premium for Featured lists on Ebay ( $19.95 ), but they put your listing in the top page of your class for the period of the listing. Featured listings are your best portal into this very tough market of jewellery workmen. You can’t think of the cost of a Featured Listing as a selling cost against the one-featured piece, but as an advertising expense for all of your lists and storefront. ( for example ; if you have twenty auctions in a week and one is featured, you can consider that you have spent $1 per piece to get ebay buyers in the door to your store. )

Undoubtedly the eBay auction site is a good place where folk may be able to interact, that’s as long as purchases are happy enough waiting on items to ship to them. EBay is a sellers and buyers paradise. For the ebay sellers it provides to capability to sell massive quantity of items from the comfort of their own home. For buyers it is a great place to find repayments on many hard to find items such as collectibles for a great price . Selling items on Ebay can provide an added sources of revenue that may supplement there regular job or can even become a full time job in itself. Many people are making a full time living selling on Ebay. Getting familiar with ebay may take a while but once you do there are excellent opportunities to make an extra bit of money and to become an expert ebay seller yourself.
