How Dangerous Is Muscle Arthritis?

Muscle arthritis is a state of muscular pain in the body and can be divided into different types. The first type of muscular pain is called dermatomyositis. It is has symptoms of inflammation and pain in the muscles, which carries with it dry rash affecting skin. The rash is found generally on face, back, neck, shoulders and chest. The other sign is soreness in muscles. These muscular pains can adversely affect muscles in heart and tissues in lungs.

Muscle arthritis of another type is called fibromyalgia. Pain in joints and their connecting tissues is the commonly found in this type of muscle pain. The symptoms of extreme type are headache, anxiety, fatigue, depression and sleep problems. If these symptoms remain for three months then it leads to perfect diagnosis of fibromyalgia.

Lupus is another type of muscular joint pain. In lupus, joints are affected and there is muscle aches. The symptoms of lupus have rash of the shape of butterfly on the face with fatigues, multiple joints pain and fever.

Polymyalgia rheumatica is the last type of muscle arthritis or muscular joint pain. This type of muscular joint pain produces severe type of muscle pain in and around the neck, shoulders and hips. There is a sudden pain experienced in this case. It may happen that this type of muscular pain goes away without much efforts or medications but this may take about a year.

The muscular pain caused as side effects of the drug called lipid for lowering cholesterol is called rhabdomyolysis. This may have serious implications like damage to vital organs kidney and heart. Though muscular pain in general of any type may be painful but most of them respond to medications for relief.

The swelling and inflammation in the joints are the common effects of joint pain condition or arthritis in the body. The muscles that connect the joints are under the stress due to above effects. In short swollen joints place the muscles attached to the joints at odd angles that results into stress and strains.
