So, if dental services are so plentiful, why is it that people choose to go without seeing a dentist? That is an interesting question because there are so many answers that may be found extremely shocking.

It’s scary to understand why people don’t understand how important it is to take care of their teeth. I often wonder why people are so comfortable neglecting to take care of their dental needs. I understand that there are many people who are not financially stable, but in those cases, I wonder if there is enough money generated in the city to partner with Los Angeles dentist offices and help pay for the less fortunate citizens to be seen at a dental office. It is clear that in some cases even if the services are paid for, people will fail to utilize them. Why is that?

Another reason people fail to visit the dentist is out of fear. Fear actually is the most used excuse for people who don’t take care of their teeth properly. As real as it is for someone to be afraid of a certain thing, fear is not a valid reason to neglect oral health. Since many people fear visiting the dentist, there are also many different causes of the fear that is possessed. Although it would great to have everyone visit a Los Angeles dentist, fear is a big hindrance.

As crazy as it may sound, some people are afraid of being embarrassed by the smell of their breath or the condition of their teeth. It is not uncommon to have a conversation with someone who may fall on the “bad breath” list. Although it is not scarce, it’s never easy dealing with someone whose breath is not tolerable. If it’s uncomfortable talking to a person who deals with bad breath, imagine how it must be to walk around knowing that your breath smells bad. In Los Angeles, where opportunities in show business are highly sought after, certainly bad breath can be a definite deal breaker. So, choosing not to visit a Los Angeles dentist or can potentially hurt a promising career.

In addition to the fear of being embarrassed, the fear of needles is also an excuse that tends to be used. Most dentists use needles only when they are absolutely necessary. So, when numbing is required, most of the time, needles are used. In many offices, the dentist may prefer to use what most people refer to as laughing gas as a method to relax a patient instead of using needles. Getting over fear is definitely a major duty. Not having money to handle basic needs is also a difficult position to be in. Rather an excuse deals with finances or insecurities having compassion is important. However, even in having compassion, we should try to encourage the people around us to deal with their issues and make an attempt to take care of their oral hygiene a little better. Since it is so important to have good oral hygiene, it’s very important to encourage people to face their fears and take care of every aspect of their health. If in the L. A. Hopefully there will be programs put in place so that everyone will have the same option of having proper health care. People in large areas such as Los Angeles, Dallas, and Atlanta should have opportunities to get dental insurance, even if they can’t afford it.
