Read This Article! … Before You Buy HD DVD Player

If you are looking to buy hd dvd player for your home theater. There are a few things I want for you to ask before you make your buy.

1: Do you need your new hd device to be in the hi-def configuration only?

2: Do you have ample amount of hi-def dvds to condone the purchasing of a device that is in just one format?

If you answered NO to any one of the questions above but you do have hd dvds in your personal dvd library. Then you must do what I did. That is get a Blu Ray hd combo player. Why you ask? Simply because of the fact that Blu-Ray won the format battle and all movies now are coming out in Blu/Ray hi-def format only.

I am positive I was just like many that truly thought the war would be won by the HD format. So I just forge ahead getting many dvds discounting Blu ray all together. Boy was I ever shocked when the announcement came on who won.

At that point I knew I had a call to make here in the very near future. I could just not buy any more pictures in hi-def ‘which would now be in Blu/Ray’ or I could continue my movie collection but I would also need to buy HD DVD player/Blu-Ray combo if I would like to enjoy my current collection together with the new movies I’d be ordering.

There were a few reasons I selected to go with a combo player vs individual players to play my movies.

1: The requirement and cost of extra cables weren’t needed.

2: The hook up was much easier to both my surround sound and television.

3: The process was alot simpler when it came to watching the movies no matter which format they were in.

My suggestion is before you buy hd dvd player for your home theater, consider buying a player that plays both formats. You’ll be so glad you did!
